As part of the work carried out by the Chair, a new article has been published, entitled "Challenges of projectification in an engineering school: Lessons learned and room for improving the whole performance of the institution" journal Social Sciences & Humanities Open.
The University of Granada assures the continuity of the Chair by providing funds from its own Research Plan.
Throughout these years of the chair, we have worked continuously with international experts in project management and its importance in society. The book shows how the projection of society is affecting all levels.
One of the Chair's frequent collaborators, Agustín Moya Coronado (PM2 Alliance), conducted an interview on 28 March 20223 with the Insular Director of Modernisation, Mr. Daniel González Morales, of the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife (Tenerife Island Council). Because of the interest of the topic discussed (implementation of the methodology in a public administration), it is shared literally.
The Chair is organising the third edition of the course on project management under the framework of the European Commission's PM2 Methodology. It will be held in June and is targeted at young researchers, researchers and staff of the UGR.
The Jean Monnet Chair will collaborate with a project focused on the practical application of the European Commission's PM2 methodology with the European Projects Office of the Valencia City Council.
Over the last two years, the Jean Monnet Chair PM2EU+ has established a close collaboration with the CoEPM2 of the European Commission contributing to the knowledge, use and improvement of the PM2 methodology, as acknowledged by Marc Berghmans in the last presentation held at the Valencia City Council.
The CoEPM2 Centre of Excellence has set up on its official website the artefacts that support the application of the PM2 programme management methodology.
A few years after the launch of the open and free version of the PM2 project management methodology of the European Commission, it is considered that it is time to make improvements on it, as well as to complete some missing actions such as the universal professional certification and its digitization. These ideas reflect on the importance of not missing the opportunity to improve the competitiveness of PM2 and its entire framework.
